Possible causes:

  1. The product is missing details in the POS catalog
  2. Incorrect UPC is entered in the POS catalog
  3. The product triggered 'Safety Stock'
  4. The product is not in Buddi's database yet
  5. The next sync cycle hasn't kicked in yet
  6. The product may be a 'Rotational Strain'

How Integrations Work

In order for our system to pull products from your POS catalog, there needs to be enough data points available.

Each product must have the following details in your POS:

  • UPC code (aka 'UPC' / 'Barcode' in Greenline)
  • Price
  • Inventory count

If products entered into your POS are not appearing on the Buddi menu, please check the following:

Has your integration been enabled by Buddi yet?

Retailers in onboarding phase: We typically enable it on our end once you have received your first cannabis shipment and completed your purchase order. Just let us know.

Are the UPC codes entered correctly into your POS?

  • Check the UPC in your POS catalog and cross-reference it with the physical product label or Buddi's product catalog in 'My Menu'.

What do UPCs look like?

  • Generally, Buddi is looking for 12 digit UPC codes in your POS. It can be easily mistaken with SKUs; they are not the same thing.
  • UPCs can be 14 digits long if there are two leading zeros in the front '00')
  • The string of numbers is also found on the product label, right after the '00'

Is there inventory for the product?

  • Make sure all counts have been entered into your POS.

  • You'll notice that the Buddi menu comes preloaded with information (such as the description) for all your cannabis products; we manage that content for you. This information will automatically populate your Buddi menu with the POS integration. You do not have to do any manual exports/imports if you are with an integrated partner of Buddi.
  • Properly synced menu items contain photos, LP/brand, variant, and product descriptions.

Is the system waiting for the next sync cycle?

  • Keep in mind that product content updates take time to sync into Buddi.

  • To speed up the process, click on 'Sync New Products' in 'My Menu':

NOTE: The 'Last Content Sync' function in 'My Menu' indicates when the last sync cycle kicked in: ## minutes ago. Refresh the browser to see the updated time.

***Greenline Users***
Have you toggled on the integration with Buddi in your Greenline Dashboard yet?

  1. Go to your Greenline Dashboard
  2. Select Integrations > Overview
  3. Toggle on the two blocks called Buddi - Store and Buddi - Online

This step is required to fully activate the Greenline & Buddi integration; doing so also sends us an automated email with your integration details (we need this)!

Note: The UPC code is also known as the 'Barcode' in your Greenline product catalog.

Accessory Products

  • Buddi can auto-sync accessories from Greenline and Cova.
    • All other POS providers will have to import a .csv (Excel) file of their accessories or enter them manually in Buddi.
  • Accessory products are not like cannabis. More details need to be entered into your POS.
    • You may need to create UPC codes for your accessories if they don't already have them. These UPC codes cannot be identical to the SKU. Use letters and/or numbers only.
  • Other required details: Price, Variants (if it comes in different sizes, colours, quantity/pack, etc.), and Inventory Count. Product Description and Photos are optional but recommended.
  • ***Greenline and Cova users*** After you have finished entering the products with its corresponding details, email support@buddi.io so that we can mass-import all your accessories from the back-end. Accessories will automatically sync into Buddi moving forward.
