Possible causes:

  1. The product is missing details in the POS catalog

  2. Incorrect UPC is entered in the POS catalog

  3. The product triggered 'Safety Stock'

  4. The product is not in Buddi's database yet

  5. The next sync cycle hasn't kicked in yet

  6. The product may be a 'Rotational Strain'

  1. The product is missing details in the POS catalog

Each product must have the following details:
    • UPC code (aka 'UPC' / 'Barcode' in Greenline)
    • Price
    • Inventory count

  2. Incorrect UPC in the POS catalog

    Troubleshooting steps:
    1. Check the UPC in your POS catalog

    2. Cross-reference that UPC with one of the following:
      • Physical product label
      • Buddi's Product Catalog in 'My Menu'

    3. Enter the correct UPC in your POS catalog.

  3. The product triggered 'Safety Stock'

Safety stock is number set in Buddi that prevents the overselling of products. Once a product reaches a Safety Stock level, it will automatically disappear from your Buddi menu (but still be available to purchase in-store).

Let's say you have a Safety Stock of 2 applied to your Buddi online menu. This means that once a product's inventory level reaches 2, it will not appear on your menu anymore.
    • Retailers can customize this value according to their preferences

    • Safety Stock can be globally (applied to all products), by product category, or individually (specific products)

    • To set your Safety Stock numbers, go to the Admin Portal > Inventory Levels page > click on 'Set Safety Stock' in the top-right corner

  4. The product is not in Buddi's database yet. This may happen with newly released products.

  5. The next sync cycle hasn't kicked in yet
    • Keep in mind that new inventory products take time to sync into Buddi.

    • If you just completed your purchase order and want to see the updates quicker, click on 'Sync New Products' in 'My Menu' to speed up the process.

NOTE: The 'Last Content Sync' function in 'My Menu' indicates when the last sync cycle kicked in: ## minutes ago. Refresh the browser to see the updated time.

  6. The product may be a 'Rotational Strain'
    • LPs sometimes use duplicate UPCs for two separate products.
    • In other words, different SKUs are sharing the same UPC.

    • How come this happens?

LP re-uses the same UPC even though the strain has changed with the next harvest. This allows them to save SKU fees.

ISSUE: Some of Buddi's retail clients start carrying the new strain, while other clients are still selling the old strain at their store. Since products sync into Buddi via UPCs, product content can become outdated / accurate at some stores.

    • How is Buddi addressing the issue?
      • Rotational Strain product listings in our database contain details for both strains

      • ACTION STEPS for retailers:
        1. Edit applicable products in the Admin Portal > 'My Menu' page

        2. Identify the strains by Product Name; there is a 'Limited Edition' tag

        3. Delete content that's not relevant AND update all dropdowns / fields accordingly.

    • NOTE: The product may not be identified as a ROTATIONAL STRAIN in Buddi yet. When this happens, please email support@buddi.io so that we can update the listing in our Product Database. Meanwhile, feel free to edit the listing in your 'My Menu' page with the correct product details.

Our team maintains the Product Database on a daily basis, ensuring that the details entered are accurate. If you notice any errors on our end, please kindly reach out to let us know.
