Pinning the Tablet App (Android)

How It Works

To ensure your Android tablet remains secure and prevents access to other applications, you can 'pin' the Tablet App using Screen Pinning. This will restrict users to our app only.

NOTE: Before proceeding, make sure add the app onto your home screen. This will create an icon on your iPad for quick access.

How to Enable Screen Pinning on your Android Tablet:

(to pin the app)

Watch this quick video tutorial or follow the detailed steps below:

Step 1: Enable Screen Pinning

  1. Open your tablet's Settings app.
  2. Tap on Security or Security & Location > Advanced > Screen Pinning.
  3. Turn on Screen Pinning.
  4. When Screen Pinning is on, you'll see an option to ask for your PIN, pattern, or password before unpinning.
  5. After turning on Screen Pinning, go to the screen you want to pin.
  6. Swipe up to the middle of your screen. If this doesn't open your Overview, follow the steps for Android 8.1 & below.
  7. At the top of the image, tap the app's icon.
  8. Tap the Pin icon.

Step 2: Disable 'Save Passwords' in Chrome

  1. On your Android tablet, open the Chrome app.
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap More.
  3. Tap Settings > Passwords.
  4. At the top, turn off 'Save Passwords'.

NOTE: By default, Chrome offers to save your password. You'll want to disable the 'Save Passwords' feature to prevent autofill with other customers' login information.

That’s it! From here, you can log into the Tablet App as a Retail Store.
