Videos can be added in Kiosk: Custom Branding to adjust the greeting page of your kiosk app user interface.


There could be several reasons why your video file can't be added to Buddi:

  1. The file is in the wrong format

  2. The file size is too big

  3. The 'Use Video' box was not checked; or you don't have a Video URL



How to resolve the issue:



If the file is in the wrong format, you will need to convert it to an 'MP4' or 'AVI' file.

1. Click 'Choose File' > find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading

2. Click the green 'Start' button

3. Hit the green 'Download' button





If the file size is too big, you will need to compress the file.

1. Click 'Upload a File' > find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading

2. Use the 'Resolution' dropdown to select a smaller resolution. This will shrink the video dimensions.

3. Click the gray ''Compress Video' button (in the bottom left)

4. Hit the white 'Download' button





If you don't see a field for 'Video URL', you need to checkmark the 'Use Video' box first. Buddi only accepts a URL (AKA 'link' or 'website address'); you cannot upload a video directly from your device.


If you have a Video URL available, checkmark the 'Use Video' box > then copy and paste the Video URL into the field.


If you do NOT have a Video URL available, you will need to upload your file into Google Drive first, then get the shareable link (URL).


1. Go to https://drive.google.com and sign in.

2. Click on the '+ New' button in the top left > select 'File Upload'

3. Find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading

4. After the video has been uploaded, the bottom right will say '1 upload complete' > click on the Folder icon below

5. Click 'Manage Access'

6. Under 'General Access', use the dropdown to select 'Anyone with the link'

7. Hit the 'Copy Link' button:


8. Hit 'Done'

9. Go back to Buddi's 'Kiosk: Custom Branding' area and right-click to select 'Paste' in the 'Video URL' field. That's it!

10. Don't forget to scroll down and hit 'Save and Publish'
