Supported Tablet Devices

The following devices are officially supported to use for the Buddi Kiosk. The application may work on other devices however we cannot test all device options available. 

  • iPad (recommended) (5th Generation and above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510)


Did you know? You don't need a new / fancy device to run the kiosk app! Refurbished devices work too. You can shop for refurbished Apple iPads at the Apple Store, Best Buy, or Amazon.

 

Kiosk Stands

Next, you will need to to mount your tablet device onto kiosk stands. There are various options to choose from. The ideal choice depends on your store layout, available resources, and ultimately personal preference. The stand can be drilled into a counter or mounted onto a wall.

Anti-theft tablet stand options can be sourced from Amazon.


You must set them up somewhere in the store that has power outlets so the system can stay on during the day without needing to be recharged.


Retailers using the Buddi Kiosk have the best success when they deploy their tablets near the entrance and/or near the POS.  Having multiple Tablet/Kiosk stations allows more customers to browse/order and reduces waiting/lines.


 

Browser Support

The platform supports the latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome (Version 110 and above)
  • Apple Safari (Version 13 and above)
  • Microsoft Edge (chromium-based)


Version Support

The platform is tested and optimized for the latest two versions of each browser listed in the above section "Browser Support".


 

Unsupported Browsers

The following browsers are not officially supported by the platform but may still work:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Opera
  • Mozilla Firefox
