Discounts may display prematurely on Buddi menus if future dates are set within Cova's individual product listings. Use Cova Promotions (Classic) to set specific dates for your discounts, which will sync into Buddi accordingly (NOT the newer Promotions Hub).

When discounts set in Cova for future dates/times are appearing in Buddi earlier than intended
Set up Discounts for Future Dates in Buddi, not Cova
- Remove any date/time ranges applied to individual product listings in Cova.
- Set up the sale prices directly in Buddi's Promotions > Discounts, where specific start/end dates & time ranges can be configured.
- The correct pricing will display on your Buddi menu with the next sync cycle after removing date/time ranges in Cova.
Best Practices
- Use Cova Promotions (Classic) to set up future-based discounts, which will sync into Buddi accordingly. The new Promotions Hub is designed differently from the Classic version and is not compatible with Buddi’s current integration, which can cause your discounts to appear early.
- Check for Cova updates regarding their Promotions Hub before using its features to avoid unexpected behaviour.
- Allow the systems to sync after editing discounts in Cova. Consider running test orders on your Buddi menu to ensure accurate prices are communicated to the POS.
We’re actively enhancing our API to seamlessly sync discounts with Cova’s 'New Promotions' feature. This document will be updated once Cova date-restricted discounts are fully supported in Buddi.
