Getting Started

  1. Configure Delivery in Cova
  2. Configure Delivery in Buddi
  3. Notify Buddi if you would like us to verify your settings or get help entering the Cova Product ID
  4. Determine how you want to print delivery receipts

Step 1 Configure Delivery in Cova

Follow the steps in this article to Create a Non-Stock Product in Cova.

  • The price for the SKU should be set to the highest amount associated with your delivery fee.
  • If you are unable to create the product, you can reach out to Cova at 1 844 667 2682 (ext.1); they can walk you through the steps.

NOTE: The delivery fee needs to be a Non-Stock SKU in Cova to send orders (POS x Buddi).

Step 2 Configure Delivery in Buddi

  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal > go to Store Settings > Online Menu: Delivery

  2. Checkmark 'Enable Delivery'

  3. Select 'Standard Delivery' if you are arranging delivery services independently, or with our integrated delivery partner Onfleet.

  4. Enter a Custom Delivery Message: this message will appear after the customer selects Delivery. It can communicate Delivery Windows or fulfillment times (e.g. when the order will arrive or be shipped out). You can also include the store's contact info here.

  5. Delivery Boundary: enter 'Cities' that you will deliver to or choose 'Area based on map' if you want to use the Delivery Area / Radius method.

  6. Enable Delivery Fee: Enter your Delivery Fee amount (checkmark if applicable).

  7. Waive Delivery Fee: Set up a threshold for free delivery to encourage larger purchases. For instance, you could offer free delivery on orders that total over $100. This means that any customer whose purchase exceeds this amount won't pay any delivery fees (checkmark if applicable).

  8. Minimum Order Amount: Specify a minimum purchase amount required for delivery options to be available to customers. If a minimum is set, customers must meet this amount to select delivery as their fulfillment method. Checkmark if applicable. If no minimum is required, and your store offers delivery for all orders regardless of amount, leave the box unchecked.

  9. Cova Product ID: Enter this into the field. It is found within the product listing/SKU you created for the Delivery Fee.

How to retrieve the Cova Product ID from Cova:
    1. Sign into your Cova Hub
    2. Search for your delivery SKU
    3. Click into the listing > then the variant
    4. Look in your address bar. The Cova Product ID is embedded within the URL as a slug. Below is an example of how the ID appears highlighted. Copy and paste your unique ID into the 'Cova Product ID' field in your Buddi delivery settings.

Printing Receipts

  • Receipts need to be printed for your customers and delivery driver.
  • Choose from one of the following options:
    1. Print an orders list from the Buddi Order Queue
    2. Print downloadable PDF receipts from the Buddi Order Queue (with a regular printer); or
    3. Write down the customer's details onto the printed POS receipt.

NOTE: Customer details such as name, address, last 4 digits of CC, contact info, and delivery notes, will NOT be on your printed POS receipt.
