Setting up Delivery in Buddi

How to Set up Delivery in Buddi


Step 1
Log into the Admin Portal > go to Store Settings > Online Menu: Delivery.
  

Step 2

Checkmark 'Enable Delivery'
 

Step 3

Select 'Standard Delivery' if you are arranging delivery services independently, or Onfleet.

NOTE: Your delivery services can be arranged independently or be integrated with our delivery partner Onfleet. Keep in mind that they do not handle the logistics.


Step 4

Enter a 'Custom Delivery Message': this message will appear after the customer selects Delivery. It usually communicates the fulfillment time of the delivery, or perhaps when the order will arrive or be shipped out. You can also include contact info here.

Step 5
Delivery Hours

*NEW* If you are offering delivery only on specific days/hours of the week:

  1. Checkmark 'Delivery Hours'.

  2. Type or use the up/down arrows to enter values in the 'Open Time' and 'Close Time' fields (on the days that you offer delivery).

  3. Toggle those days ON using the switch.


Delivery Hours will automatically display at the checkout screen.

e.g.


When orders are being placed outside of set delivery hours, a red message would display to let customers know that their order will be delivered during the next available window on [Day of Week] at [Start Time].



Step 6
Delivery Boundary:

  1. Checkmark 'Allow delivery everywhere within province', or
     
  2. Enter cities that you will deliver to; or
     
  3. Choose 'Area based on map' to set delivery zones.

    How to Use the Delivery Area / Radius Method (2 Steps):
    1. Create a KML file using Google Maps
    2. Upload the KML file into Buddi


Step 7

Delivery Fee Settings:

  1. Enable Delivery Fee: this is where you would enter the cost for delivery.
     
  2. Waive Delivery Fee: you can set it so that delivery is free if their total sale reaches a certain amount. For example, $100 means that delivery is free if the customer purchases over $100 in products.
     
  3. Minimum Order Amount: this is a minimum amount that a customer needs to purchase to be able to choose delivery as their fulfillment method.
       

Step 8

Review your configuration options for delivery. 

NOTE: Online payments need to be set up for this step.


  1. Go to Store Settings > Online Menu: Configuration.

  2. Checkmark 'Accept online paid orders' > Select your payment processor provider:

  3. Under 'Delivery', select 'Pay Online' (to make Delivery orders pre-paid only):

  4. Scroll down > hit 'Save'.
     
  5. Go to Store Settings > Tax Settings.
    1. 'Add a Delivery Fee Tax Type' if you plan to charge taxes on your delivery fee.
    2. Enter a name for the tax. e.g. 'Delivery Fee Tax'
    3. Enter the provincial tax %.

      e.g. 13% for Ontario Retailers:
      Delivery Taxes: Ensure your tax settings in the POS match the tax settings in Buddi! Mismatched taxes can affect order communication between systems.
       

Step 9
