Safety stock is a feature that adds a level of protection by saving products to just be sold in store, especially if there is only 1 or 2 left. It helps eliminate the chance of an online stockout.
For example, let’s say you want to stop a certain product from showing up on your online menu, even though it is actually in stock. You can set a safety stock levels for that product, and once the product drops below that stock level, it is going to disappear from your Online Menu and only be available in store.
For example, let's say you only have 2 left of Chocolate Fondue DNA Genetics by Canopy Growth Flower - 1 gram.
Under the Safety Stock column, you can enter a safety stock of 2 for that individual item. Because there is only 2 left, this product won't be on the menu now.
You can also click on [Set Safety Stock], and set a safety stock in certain categories, or on all products — Global Safety Stock — which is typically set to 1. This means that Anything with 1 left, won't show up, anything with 2 left, will show up.
