About Product Bundling

Product Bundling, our latest promotions feature enables you to encourage customers to buy more and help move old inventory or sell certain products quicker! This initial version of the feature focuses on creating bundles, based on product type.

Where This Feature is Located

This feature can be found in the Promotions section of the Admin Portal:

Product Bundle Settings 

Please note that for this MVP version of product bundling, you can only create one bundle per product type. This means that you can have several bundles, but for different products.

• Ex. 1 product bundle for flower, 1 product bundle for pre-rolls, etc.

In other words, you can create several bundles in advance that are of the same type, but only ONE can be active at a time. 
 

Location: If you have more than one store, the product bundle can applied to one specific location or all location.

How To Create A Bundle

1. Create Bundle Name
    
2. Select which stores (or all locations) for where the bundle will be applicable
    
3. Select product type for bundle (i.e. Flower, Infused Pre-roll, etc)
    
4. Define the quantity and discount for the bundle (at this time, only %-based discounts are available, in the future we will look into adding $ based discounts).  For the MVP, the discount is taken off of the product that is of equal or lesser value.
    
5. (optional) Set a specific start date and/or end date for your product bundle
    
6. Hit 'Save'

How The Product Bundle Appears on The Menu and Product Page 

The discount is taken off the product of equal or lesser value. As the customer adds the eligible product to the cart, the messaging encourages them to add more products to complete the bundle. 

The customer can add the exact same product OR a different product (same product type) to complete the bundle. I.e. two of the exact same flower or two different flower products.

How Bundle is Displayed in Checkout

The products will be separate based on the quantity that is applicable in the bundle. In the example below, the bundle is Buy 2 flowers, get 1 at 10% off. Since 4 flowers have been purchased, the bundle discount is applied to 2 products. 

How Bundle is Displayed in the Order Queue

 
In the Buddi Order Queue, the Bundle Discount is applied as a separate line item to differentiate from the other discounts that are being applied.

How Bundle is Displayed in Greenline

 
If a Bundle Discount is applied, there will be a label called bundle as part of the Discounts Line Item in the Greenline dashboard.
