This guide walks you through the process of setting up discounts in Greenline POS to ensure that they sync correctly into Buddi. Follow these steps to automatically apply sale prices to your menu.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access Discounts in Greenline
   • Navigate to Products > Discounts.
   • Click on Add New Discount at the top right corner.
     
     

2. Create a New Discount
   • Name the Discount: Enter a descriptive name (e.g. Flower Power Friday)
   • Select Location: Choose the relevant location.
     
     
3. Set Discount Type and Value:

   • Choose between a dollar amount or a percentage. For this example, select a dollar amount and set it to $5.
     
     

4. Enable Automatic Discount:
   • Ensure the 'Automatic Discount' option is turned on to apply the discount at checkout automatically.
   • This is a very important step.
     
     
5. Select Applicable Products:
   • Specific Products or Categories
     • Choose whether the discount applies to specific products or entire categories (e.g., all flower products or all pre-rolls).
     • For specific products, review your menu and decide which items to discount. For example, you might select Edison products.
       
       
6. Configure Discount Details
   • Optional - Set Date Range: You can specify a time period for the discount (e.g. a week-long promotion).
   • Optional - Set Specific Times: Configure specific times for the discount to be active (e.g. from 4:20 PM to 5:20 PM).
     
     
7. Save the Discount: Finalize and save your settings.
   
   
8. Optional - Speed up the Sync with Buddi
   • Log in to the Admin Portal:
     • Navigate to the My Menu section.
     • Click on the Sync New Products button to initiate a sync.
       
       
   • Sync Process:
     
     • Normally, content updates with Greenline and Buddi sync every 30-60 minutes. Using the sync button can expedite this process to 5-10 minutes.
     • After the sync, check that the discounts are applied by refreshing your menu.
