Setting up Discounts in Greenline (to Sync into Buddi)

This guide walks you through the process of setting up discounts in Greenline POS to ensure they sync into Buddi correctly. Follow these steps to apply automatic discounts to your menu.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access Discounts Tool in Greenline
   • Go to Products → Discounts from the left-hand menu.
   • Click the ‘Add Discount’ button in the top-right corner.
      
     

2. Create a New Discount
   • Discount Name: Give your discount a descriptive name (e.g. Flower Power Friday).
   • Location: Select the store(s) the discount applies to.
   • Applies To: Choose whether the discount applies to:
     • Individual products;
     • Categories (e.g. all flower or pre-rolls); or
     • The entire cart
       
       
3. Set Discount Type and Value:

   • Choose between:

     • Percentage Off (e.g. 15%); or

     • Dollar Off (e.g. $5)
       
       

4. ✅ Enable 'Automatic Discount'
   • ***IMPORTANT*** Make sure to toggle this function on.
     
   • This is required for Buddi to detect and display the discount on your online menu.
     If this is not turned on, Buddi will not pull the discount.
      
5. Configure Product Selection:
   • Select which products or product categories the discount applies to.
     • e.g. "Edison" brand products or the "Pre-Rolls" category.
       
       
6. (Optional) Set the Discount Schedule
   • Date Range: Set a start and end date (e.g. valid from July 1-7)
   • Time Window: Add a specific time range (e.g. 4:20 PM-5:20 PM)
     
     
7. Save the Discount: Finalize and save your settings.
   
   
8.  (Optional) Speed up the Sync with Buddi
   • Log in to the Admin Portal:
     • Navigate to the My Menu section.
     • Click on the Sync New Products button to initiate a sync.
       
       
   • Sync Process:
     • Normally, content updates with Greenline and Buddi sync every 30-60 minutes. Using the sync button can expedite this process to 5-10 minutes.
     • After the sync, check that the discounts are applied by refreshing your menu.

Notes

• Discounts created in Greenline only sync to Buddi if ‘Automatic Discount’ is enabled.
