Products listed with this error have not yet been added to Buddi's database (aka 'unlinked'). As a result, Vapour Product Taxes (VPT) will not apply to these items at checkout. Our team is aware of this gap and is prioritizing the addition of vape products to the database.

If a cannabis vape product listing isn’t yet in our system, you’ll need to manually categorize it in Buddi.

To ensure correct taxation, we recommend reviewing the 'Content Unavailable Error' list whenever you receive new inventory and categorizing any unlinked products accordingly.

The guide below provides step-by-step instructions for this process.

NOTE: This process only applies to British Columbia + Saskatchewan cannabis retail stores, where the 20% Vapour Product Tax (VPT) applies to vapour products.

How to Categorize Cannabis Vape Products in 'My Menu'

for Vape Taxes (VPT) to apply

1. Go to the Admin Portal > 'My Menu' page.
    
2. On the far-right, checkmark this box: 'Content Unavailable Error'. This will display a list of products that haven't been added to Buddi yet.
    
3. Use the category filter to select 'Vape'.
     
4. This will display the list of vape products that need manual edits for proper VPT to be applied.
     
5. Click on the listing.
   e.g. We will use a product named "Tahiti Fizz Live Resin Vape Cart" as an example.
    
6. Take note of the product's variant amount before the next step. e.g. 1 gram
    
7. Click 'Search & Apply Product Content' > 'Get Started':
   
    
8. This function allows you to search and pull existing content from Buddi's database to fill in any missing content.
    
9. Type in the product name. e.g. "Tahiti Fizz" > hit 'Enter'. This will bring up a list of relevant products.
    
10. If there is a match, hit 'Insert':
     
     
11. Blank fields will now fill with content if available in Buddi's database. 
      
    
12. ***IMPORTANT STEP***
    In the Subcategory dropdown, select either:
    'Cannabis Product' if it is a vape cartridge product; or
    'Full Kit' if it is all-in-one/disposable vape product.
     
    
     
13. ***IMPORTANT STEP***
    In the 'Option' field, enter the variant amount. e.g. '1'.
    In the dropdown to the right, select 'grams'.
    
     
14. Steps 12 and 13 are crucial. You cannot save the listing or properly categorize the product as a vape if any of those two steps are missed!
    
    Add/edit other content as desired.
    
       
15. Hit 'Save'.
     
16. Repeat the steps for all vape listings appearing under 'Content Unavailable Error'.
