How to Set up a Discount in Cova Promotions (Classic/v1)

1. Open your Cova Hub.
2. Navigate to Catalog > 'Promotions (Classic)'.
3. Click 'Add Promotion'.
4. Enter a Name (e.g. 'Friday Pre-Rolls').
5. Choose the type of discount: Percentage Off or Dollar Amount Off.
6. Set the discount details:
   
   • Select location(s) where the discount applies.
   • Choose the frequency (e.g. Fridays).
   • Set the start/end dates + start/end times (if applicable).
   • Apply the discount to all products or select specific products (e.g. all pre-rolls).

1. Navigate to 'My Menu'.
2. Click on the 'Sync New Products' button to speed up the sync process.
3. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes for the sync to complete.

Verifying the Promotion in Buddi:

1. Refresh the menu in Buddi.
2. Check the 'Pre-Rolls' or 'On-Sale' section to see the applied discounts.

Option 3:  Restrict In-Store Promotions from Appearing Online

If you want to run promotions in-store only (for example, a percentage off sale), you can prevent these discounts from appearing on your Buddi menu by using Pricing Groups in Cova.

Example Workflow

1. Create a Pricing Group in Cova for in-store customers only (e.g. “In-Store Promotions”)
   
   
2. Update your Cova > Promotions listing by changing the Customer field from “All Customers” to that specific Pricing Group.
   
   You can also apply Pricing Groups within individual product listings in Cova.
   
   
3. Once that’s done, please let support@buddi.io know right away so we can ensure that Pricing Group is excluded from your Buddi menu.

Why are my in-store promotions appearing on my Buddi menu?

• If your promotion in Cova is set to “All Customers”, it will also appear on your Buddi menu.
• To restrict promotions to in-store only, you can use Pricing Groups in Cova and assign the promotion to a specific group instead.
• Please note that Buddi needs to be notified when a new Pricing Group is created in Cova.
