Video Tutorial on Buddi: Direct Mail


Buddi recently released a new feature called Direct Mail.


During the checkout process, customers can choose between three options: Pick up, Delivery, or Direct Mail. Direct mail allows the customer to place an order that can be shipped out to them via Canada post or another shipping option that you provide.


Setting up Direct Mail

  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal
  2. Click on 'Store Settings'
  3. Checkmark 'Enable Direct Mail'
  4. You will configure the settings on this screen:

    Tiered shipping allows you to provide multiple options for the customer to choose from, such as Canada Post, FedEx, or Purolator. You can also offer tiered options according to shipping speed, such as regular mail or express mail.

    Option Label: this is the name of the shipping option. For example, Canada Post, FedEx, or Purolator; and Regular Mail or Express Mail.

    Price: this is the shipping fee.

    Custom Delivery Message: this message appears on the 'thank you' / 'order confirmation' page (after the customer has finished checking out)

    Waive Delivery Fee: checkmark this box if you offer free shipping after a specific amount.

    Minimum Order Amount: this is the minimum amount that a customer must order to choose direct mail as an option.

  5. Hit 'Save'
