Add a Video to the Tablet App (Greeting Page)

Videos can be added in Kiosk: Custom Branding to adjust the Greeting Page of your Tablet App user interface. This appears directly above the 'Browse Our Menu' button.

NOTE: Buddi only accepts a URL (AKA 'link' or 'website address'); you cannot upload a video directly from your device.

Requirements:

1. Acceptable formats: .mp4, .avi, or .GIF
2. File size should be 1mb or less.
3. Checkmark the 'Use Video' box.

Video Formatting

If your video format is not compatible with our system, you can convert it to one of these formats using an online tool: mp4, avi, or GIF.

1. Click 'Choose File' > find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading

2. Click the green 'Start' button
3. Hit the green 'Download' button

Video File Resizing

Videos can be compressed to reduce the file size.

Here is an online tool you can use: https://www.veed.io/video-compressor

1. Click 'Upload a File' > find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading
2. Use the 'Resolution' dropdown to select a smaller resolution. This will shrink the video dimensions.
3. Click the gray ''Compress Video' button (in the bottom left)
4. Hit the white 'Download' button

NOTE: Ensure that the 'Use Video' box is checked if you want to use this feature.

Video URL

Checkmark the 'Use Video' box.

If you have a video that can be readily accessed online, copy the link and paste it into the Video URL field.

If you do NOT have a Video URL available, you will need to upload your file into Google Drive first, then get the shareable link (URL).

1. Go to https://drive.google.com and sign in.

2. Click on the '+ New' button in the top left > select 'File Upload'.

3. Find and select your video file > wait for it to finish uploading.

4. After the video has been uploaded, the bottom right will say '1 upload complete' > click on the Folder icon below.

5. Click 'Manage Access'.

6. Under 'General Access', use the dropdown to select 'Anyone with the link'.

7. Hit the 'Copy Link' button:

8. Hit 'Done'.

9. Go back to Buddi's 'Kiosk: Custom Branding' area and right-click to select 'Paste' in the 'Video URL' field.

10. Scroll down and hit 'Save and Publish'.
