Getting Started

  1. Buddi reaches out to TechPOS: We will contact them directly via email to initiate the integration request once we know that they are your POS provider.

  2. TechPOS may reach out to you to confirm the request.

  3. TechPOS reaches out to Buddi with the integration details once ready.

  4. Activating the Integration:
    • For Open Stores: Buddi will enable the integration and confirm if everything is syncing properly.

    • For New Stores: Please notify our team once you have received inventory and completed your purchase order. From there we will activate the POS integration on our end and confirm that it is syncing OK.

  5. Once the POS integration is active, live inventory will automatically sync to Buddi, replacing any test products in your menu.

 


Best Practice


   DO:

  • New Stores: Complete your purchase order in TechPOS, then notify Buddi to activate the integration. Inventory will not sync until both steps are complete.
  • After making content updates in TechPOS, use the ‘Sync New Products’ feature in the Buddi Admin Portal > 'My Menu' to speed up the sync. Product content will update with each sync cycle.
  • Notify Buddi if you want to sync accessories. This feature must be enabled on our end before accessory products can appear on your Buddi menu.
  • Keep all parties informed on your target launch date.

❌  DON’T:

  • Don’t expect the menu to update before you’ve completed your PO and notified Buddi to activate the integration.
  • Don’t rely on the SKU field Buddi requires a valid UPC to sync products.
  • Don’t assume accessories will sync automatically they require additional setup and approval from Buddi.
  • Don’t forget to check that each product has all required fields in TechPOS: Product Name, Price, UPC, Inventory Count.
  • Don’t create duplicate UPCs or use placeholders like 000000000000 this can cause sync issues.
     

⚠️ Common Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Expecting products to show up before completing a PO or notifying Buddi
  • Missing UPC, price, or inventory count in TechPOS
  • Confusing SKU with UPC
  • Forgetting to notify Buddi when adding new accessory categories
