Buddi can auto-sync accessory products from TechPOS to your menu — but this requires additional setup and formatting on your end.
Initial Setup and Updates
To activate accessory syncing:
- Add your accessory products to TechPOS with the required details (see below)
- Notify support@buddi.io to enable accessory syncing
- Buddi will perform an initial mass import and activate category syncing
Notify Buddi each time you add a new category for accessories in TechPOS.
Required Fields (in TechPOS)
Every accessory product must have:
- Product Name
- Category
- Price
- UPC (unique, not SKU)
Optional (but Recommended) Fields
- Product Description
- Image (upload to TechPOS, use white background if possible)
- Variant Name
Best Practice
✅ DO:
- Create your own UPCs – Accessories don’t have universal codes like cannabis.
- Avoid using SKUs or symbols in your UPC (e.g. no
-
or#
). - Use descriptive, consistent categories (e.g.
Grinders
,Vape Parts
,Papers
,Storage
) - Notify Buddi each time you add a new accessory category → it must be enabled before syncing.
- Use ‘Force Sync’ in the Admin Portal > 'My Menu' to see changes faster.
❌ DON’T:
- Don’t assume accessories will sync automatically — activation is required.
- Don’t use duplicate UPCs or placeholders like
000000000000
. - Don’t forget to assign a valid category — unassigned items won’t appear.
- Don’t rely on TechPOS alone to format or style your product listings — Buddi shows what you input.
How to Add Accessory Product Images
Recommendation: add them to TechPOS
Notes:
- Photos added in TechPOS will automatically sync into Buddi in the next sync cycle and show on your menu. Use the 'Force Sync' feature in the Admin Portal > 'My Menu' page to speed up the sync and see your updates quicker.
- This applies to accessory products only. Cannabis products already have images pre-populated in Buddi by default.
Optional: Add Additional Images in Buddi
- Sign into the Admin Portal > go to 'My Menu'.
- Search for your Product > click on the Product.
- Upload image(s) > hit 'Save'.
This method allows you to upload up to 3 images (whereas TechPOS allows only 1 image upload per variant).
