Auto-Complete Options for Order Management (Buddi x Cova)

There are two options available with the Buddi x Cova integration to automatically complete order statuses.


This guide helps retailers make informed decisions about using these Auto-Complete functions by detailing how they work and which workflows they are best suited for. Enabling these functions may potentially streamline order management processes, depending on each store's workflow preferences.



Option 1:  Order Queue Auto-Completion

  • This function automatically completes all orders (paid and unpaid) in Buddi, allowing staff to manage orders entirely in Cova.
  • This workflow is recommended for retailers who want to manage order statuses in Cova only.


Implications if Enabled:

  • All orders coming into Buddi would be automatically marked as COMPLETE.
  • Unfulfilled orders should be marked as INCOMPLETE or CANCELLED at the end of the day (in the Order Queue) to ensure accurate inventory reflection in Buddi.



Option 2:  Auto-Complete Paid Orders

  • This function automatically completes paid orders in Cova (in the 'Orders' section).
  • It is designed for retailers who want paid Buddi orders to be automatically marked as completed in Cova on the correct date.
  • This feature is rarely used among retailers using Cova because orders can easily be missed if staff are not closely monitoring Paid orders in Cova or updating unfulfilled orders in Buddi at the end of each shift.


Implications if Enabled:

  • All orders coming into Buddi would be continue to be marked as INCOMPLETE. It does not complete orders in Buddi.
  • Unfulfilled orders should be marked as INCOMPLETE or CANCELLED at the end of the day (in the Order Queue) to ensure accurate inventory reflection in Buddi.
  • The store would no longer send customer notifications from Buddi (which i order status updates). This includes READY FOR PICKUP and OUT FOR DELIVERY messages.



Recommendation:

  • Order Queue Auto-Completion is recommended for retailers looking to manage all orders in Cova, as it provides a consistent workflow for both paid and unpaid orders.

  • Auto-Complete Paid Orders should only be considered by retailers who are confident in their team's ability to regularly update the Buddi Order Queue when there are incomplete, cancelled, or refunded orders.
