Use this tool to quickly update incomplete or unlinked listings with verified content from Buddi’s database
Quickly fix these 'Content Notification' errors using the ‘Search & Apply Product Content’ tool:
- Duplicate UPC/Barcode- multiple products are sharing the same UPC
- Content Unavailable Error
- Missing UPC/Barcode
- Limited Content
This function is available within individual product listings of the Admin Portal > My Menu.
How it Works
- Identify the product you want to fix in 'My Menu'.
We will be using this product as an example. It is an unlinked listing with the Content Unavailable Error:
TIP: Quickly filter products by checking one of the 'Content Notification' errors on the right. e.g. Duplicate UPC/Barcode, Content Unavailable Error, Missing UPC/Barcode, Limited Content
Open the individual listing:
Click 'Get Started' in the Search & Apply Product Content panel:
Type in keywords from the product name:
If a matching product exists in our database, you’ll see it listed with a preview image, Name, and Brand.
Click 'Insert' to pull in content from Buddi's database:
Review the content that has been populated (and edit as needed):
NOTE: If the product doesn't seem to be correct, you can hit 'Undo' to remove the content you have just inserted.
Manually enter the variant # in the designated field. Select the variant unit in the dropdown:
⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️ You must enter both variant fields before you can save the listing. If either field is left blank, the changes won’t be saved.
Hit 'Save' if everything looks good:
- This will bring you back to the 'My Menu' page. Pull up the product to see the final result:
Best Practice
Always double check that the Variant + Units are entered and accurate before saving.
Delete any irrelevant images. e.g. Hit 'X' to remove an image of a 5x0.5g pre-roll since you are only carrying the 1x0.5g product.
You can use Search & Apply Product Content to temporarily overwrite a listing with content from our database at a given moment. Later on, Buddi may add the UPC and provide more complete details as they become available.
If you want to check for updated content, you can use the ‘Reset Content’ function.
⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️ 'Reset Content' cannot be undone. If the UPC is still missing from our database, all product fields will be cleared. - In that case, use Search & Apply Product Content again to re-fill the listing - If you had manually entered any details before, make sure to save a screenshot for reference before resetting.
- If a listing does not show up in the results, we likely don’t have it in our database. Contact support@buddi.io if you'd like to request an addition.
Include the Name, Brand, Variant, and UPC or send us 2 clear photos of the product showing those details
If the product exists in our database, most fields will be pre-filled. However, if any required information is missing, you’ll need to complete those fields manually.
The following fields must be filled out in order to save the listing.
Required fields (do not leave these blank):Brand
- Variant
- Units
- Rolls QTY + g/ea. (for pre-roll and infused pre-roll products only)
- Dried Equivalency in grams (applies to all categories except flower, milled flower, pre-roll, and accessories)
If any of the required fields are missing, you’ll see this error message upon saving:
Please fix all validation errors
