Double Discounts

Overview


Known Issue: When orders are placed on tablets or in the online menu, discounts to products are applied twice whenever an order is edited in any way.  Cova has a workaround in place (provided below).

 

For Example: 

Customer places an order online that contains a 10% off product. At the POS terminal, the customer decides to add another item to the order, but the discounted product gets applied again (double-discounted / 20% off).

 

 

How to solve the issue in Cova:

  1. Sign into Cova Hub
     
  2. Go to 'Settings' > 'General Settings'
     
  3. Click on the 'Orders' tab > Select your store location
     
  4. Click on 'Edit' > Enter 'Yes' for the following feature: Remove integrator discounts from items that have promotions on edited orders

  5. With this feature enabled, discounts for products will not be applied twice upon edits in the POS.
