Adding a Custom Delivery Message at Checkout

Getting Started


Enhance your customer experience with our 'Custom Delivery Message' feature. It appears after selecting Delivery at the checkout screen. It allows you to communicate details such as store policies, contact info, etc.

Below are templates that you can use for your 'Custom Delivery Message'. Feel free to copy and paste, editing as needed.



Example Template #1:

Note: Delivery Orders
  • Photo ID Required:
    The name on the order MUST match your ID and payment card. You MUST show your ID and the payment card used for the purchase upon delivery. The person who places the order MUST be the person to pick it up or accept the delivery.

  • Delivery Times:
    We dispatch delivery orders twice a day. Typical delivery times range from [X minutes] to [Y hours] and [X minutes] to [Y hours]. You will receive an "Out for Delivery" notification via text or email once your order has left the store.


  • Delivery Hours:
    [Day of Week - Day of Week]: Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the next day.
    [Day(s) of Week]Same-day delivery cut-off time is [Cut-off Time].

  • Order Assistance:
  • If you are having issues placing your order, please try using an incognito window, ensure the postal code matches your billing information with your bank, or contact the store at [Phone Number].

  • Pricing Information:
    All prices listed are pre-tax.

  • Final Sale Policy:
    All sales are final - No refunds.

Important Delivery Info
  • Photo ID Required:
    Ensure the name on your order matches your government-issued photo ID. Have your ID and payment card ready upon delivery. Orders cannot be left unattended or with someone else.

  • Delivery Times:
    Typical delivery times range from [Dispatch Time] to [Arrival Time], but may be longer during peak periods, holidays, or inclement weather. For delivery updates or estimates, contact us at [Phone Number].

  • Delivery Hours:
    Orders are accepted from [Start Time] to [Cut-off Time]. Same-day delivery is available for specified zones: [List Zones Here]. Orders outside these zones will be processed [e.g. next business day or earliest opportunity].

  • Free Delivery:
    To qualify, ensure your order subtotal meets the minimum requirement of [Amount] (before taxes and fees) and verify your delivery zone on the provided map.
     
  • Return Policy:
    All product returns must be handled directly through the provincial supplier. To process a return for a defective product, you must retain the original packaging and proof of purchase as required by provincial guidelines.

    Concerns related to taste, smell, appearance, or potency are not eligible for return.

    For more details, please refer to your provincial cannabis distributor's return policy.

 


Delivery Hours


You can specify days and hours of the week that you offer delivery. Delivery Hours will automatically display at the checkout screen.


When orders are placed outside of set delivery hours, a red message would display to let customers know that their order will be delivered during the next available window on [Day of Week] at [Start Time].



Additional Example Templates

Below are additional templates you can use to add further communications about Delivery Cut-off Times.


Note: Delivery Cut-off Times

Standard Cut-off Times:
  • Orders placed before [Cut-off Time] on [Day of Week - Day of Week] will be delivered the same day.
  • Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be scheduled for delivery on the next available delivery day.

Weekday and Weekend Cut-off Times:
  • Weekdays ([Day of Week - Day of Week]): Orders placed before [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the next day.
  • Weekends ([Day(s) of Week]): Orders placed before [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the following [Day of Week].

Specific Day Cut-off Times:
  • [Day of Week - Day of Week]: Orders placed before [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the next day.
  • [Day(s) of Week]: Orders placed before [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered on [Day of Week].

Customized Cut-off Times:
  • On [Day(s) of Week], same-day delivery orders must be placed before [Cut-off Time]. Orders placed after this time will be delivered on the next available delivery day.
  • On [Day of Week], orders placed before [Cut-off Time] will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after [Cut-off Time] will be delivered on [Day of Week].

 


Notes:

  • Consider adding delivery details to other areas of your website (e.g. pop-up window or announcement bar).

  • You have the option to include delivery order details in Customer Notifications, sent via email/SMS. These messages are automatically triggered as the order status updates in the queue.

  • There are two separate message types available: 'Ready for Delivery' and 'Out for Delivery'. You can toggle these message notifications ON/OFF as needed.
