Adding a Custom Delivery Message at Checkout

Getting Started


Enhance your customer experience with our 'Custom Delivery Message' feature. It appears after selecting Delivery at the checkout screen. It allows you to communicate details such as store policies, delivery windows, contact info, etc.

 

Access this feature in the Admin Portal > Store Settings > Online Menu: Delivery.


  

 

   

Custom Delivery Message

Example Templates

  • Please provide all accurate information at the time of checkout. The name on the order MUST match your ID and payment card.
      
  • You MUST show your ID and payment card used for the purchase upon delivery. The person who places the order MUST be the person to pick it up or accept the delivery.
      
  • If you are having issues placing your order, please try using an incognito window, make sure the postal code is the same as your billing information with your bank. or phone the store for assistance at (###) ###-####.
      
  • All sales are final - No Refunds.
      
  • All prices listed are pre-tax.
      
  • *Monday - Saturday orders placed after ___PM will be delivered the next day. Sunday same-day delivery cut-off time is ___PM.



*Delivery Windows


This feature is not built into our platform, but you can specify date/time ranges in the Custom Delivery Message (as shown in last point above). Below are additional templates you can use to specify delivery windows at the checkout screen.

 

Standard Cut-off Times:

  • Orders placed before ___PM on [days] will be delivered the same day.
  • Orders placed after ___PM will be scheduled for delivery on the next available delivery day.

Weekday and Weekend Cut-off Times:

  • Weekdays: Orders placed before ___PM will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after ___PM will be scheduled for delivery the next day.
  • Weekends: Sunday same-day delivery cut-off time is ___PM. Orders placed after this time will be delivered the following Monday.
      

Specific Day Cut-off Times:

  • Monday - Friday: Orders placed before ___PM will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after ___PM will be scheduled for delivery the next day.
  • Saturday + Sunday: Orders placed before ___PM will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after ___PM will be scheduled for delivery on Monday.
     

Customized Cut-off Times:

  • On [Day of Week], Same-day delivery cut-off time is ___PM. Orders placed after this time will be delivered the next available delivery day.
  • On [Day of Week], orders placed before ___PM will be delivered the same day. Orders placed after ___PM will be scheduled for delivery on [next available delivery day].

 


Notes:

  • Consider adding delivery details to other areas of your website (e.g. pop-up window or announcement bar).

  • You have the option to include delivery order details in Customer Notifications, sent via email/SMS. These messages are automatically triggered as the order status updates in the queue.

  • There are two separate message types available: 'Ready for Delivery' and 'Out for Delivery'. You can toggle these message notifications ON/OFF as needed.

     
    Access this feature in the Admin Portal > Store Settings > Online Menu: Messages.
