Buddi provides two options for building Collections, tailored to your specific needs:
- 'Select Using Logic' (or "smart logic") – Perfect for automating Collections based on predefined parameters such as product Type, Strain, Brand, THC/CBD %, etc.
- 'Individually Select' – Best for creating curated Collections that require manually selecting products, such as specialized groupings or unique product selections.
Method 1: Select Using Logic
- Best for automating Collections based on defined variables:
- Use the 'Select Using Logic' method to automate the creation of dynamic Collections based on specific parameters, saving time and ensuring your menu stays up to date on its own.

NOTE: This method will update Collections automatically! The selected products will automatically update whenever new inventory is added that meets the defined parameters.
Method 2: Individually Select
- This method is ideal for creating specialized or curated Collections that cannot be generated using predefined logic.
- Examples: Collections like Disposable Vapes, New Arrivals, Staff Picks, or Accessories, require manual selection of products.
Creating a Collection using 'Individually Select'
Demo: Building a 'Disposable Vapes' Collection
Imagine your store carries a variety of disposable vape products, but these are currently grouped under a single main category in Buddi. To make disposable vapes more accessible to customers, you can create a dedicated 'Disposable Vapes' sub-category using the 'Individually Select' method.
Since disposable vapes are not available as a selectable parameter in the 'Select Using Logic' method, you would need to manually build this Collection. Using the search function, you can identify products with relevant keywords and add them to the Collection, ensuring your menu is organized and customer-friendly.
