Learn how to exclude specific products from a Collection using logic-based filters
Need to exclude certain products from a Collection - like low-priced items, specific brands, or sale products? You can do this by adding exclusion rules using the 'Select Using Logic' method when building or editing a Collection.
Example Use Case:
- You’ve created a 10% off discount for all Flower using a Collection, but want to exclude certain craft brands from the list.
- The steps below show you how to refine your Collection using logic filters to prevent those brands from being included.
Instructions
Go to Promotions > Collections in the Admin Portal.
Within the Collection, click 'Select Product(s)'.
In the 'Select Using Logic' tab, click '+ Add Criteria'.
- Choose a filter that excludes unwanted products.
The negative filter is typically found in dropdowns of the 2nd column:
IS NOT
IS NOT EQUAL TO
IS GREATER THAN
IS LESS THAN
But it can be found in the 3rd column when using the 'Discounted' parameter.
False
Example Use Cases:- Price > IS GREATER THAN > [X] → e.g. Only include items over $20
- Brand > IS NOT > [Brand Name] → e.g. Exclude '1964'
- Discounted > IS > False → Exclude items already on sale
Hit 'Save' in the product selection window.
Hit 'Save' again on the main Collection setup page.
With this type of setup, the Collection would automatically exclude products that match your exclusion rules - and any connected Buddi Promotions using that Collection will update accordingly.
