Setting up Online Payments with Buddi


Buddi works with these three payment processor companies: Merrco, Moneris, and Global Payments.

The information below outlines the steps in getting your online merchant account approved so that we can connect to your payment account with API keys.



Merrco
***new method: PayHQ*** (recommended)


To set up online payments for your Buddi menu, we need to connect to your online merchant account. Once your menu is loading live inventory, please email Merrco (support@merrco.com) to initiate the setup. You can copy + paste the following message to them:




Hi Merrco Team,


I want to accept online payments for my Buddi menu: {insert link}


Please help me set up an online merchant account and configure it as a PayHQ integration.


Buddi will need the following API credentials:

  • iFrame Access Token
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret

Your Customer Success Specialist will email you to confirm that your details have been received and entered into Buddi. You'll also receive confirmation once online payments are officially activated in your online menu.

Merrco

If you already have an online merchant account with Merrco, see this instructional PDF on how to obtain the API keys for us.


To set up payments with your Buddi menu, we need to connect to your online merchant account. Once your menu page is up and running with live inventory, please email Merrco (support@merrco.com) to let them know that you would like to accept online payments, and that your website is ready for review.


After your online merchant account is approved, you will get an email from Merrco. From there, please finish activating that account by logging into your Merrco Dashboard using the username and password that they have provided in that email. You will be prompted to change your password and set security questions and answers. After that, you can copy and paste the Merrco details we need (within your onboarding ticket, or to support@buddi.io on the weekend):


  • Account #:
  • API Username:
  • API Password:
  • Single-Use Token Username (SUT):
  • Single-Use Token Password:


Your Customer Success Specialist will email you to confirm that your details have been received and entered into Buddi. You'll also receive confirmation once online payments are officially activated in your online menu.




Moneris


To set up payments with your Buddi Online Menu, we need to connect to your online merchant account. Once your menu page is up and running with live inventory, please email Moneris to let them know that you would like to accept online payments and provide your menu link for their review.


You will get an email from Moneris once your online merchant account has been approved. Please finish activating the account by following the steps in that email. From there, you can copy and paste the Store ID + API Token to Buddi (within your onboarding ticket, or to support@buddi.io on the weekend).


IMPORTANT:  We highly recommend using 3D Security for Online Payments with Merrco. Please ask them about this feature.


Your Customer Success Specialist will email you to confirm that your details have been received and entered into Buddi. You will receive another email confirmation when payments are officially activated in your online menu.

Global Payments


Step #1

Within your Buddi Onboarding ticket, email to let us know that you are with Global Payments.


Step #2

Your Customer Success Specialist will send an email to Global Payments to request your payment API credentials to be sent to Buddi. You will be cc'ed in that email. Please 'reply all' in the email with your consent; Global Payments will send us the integration details needed for the integration directly.


Step #3

For Global Payments to approve your online merchant account, please make sure that you have the following in place:

  1. The website is secure, and has a shopping cart page
  2. Refund/Return/Shipping policy are clearly displayed on merchant’s website
  3. Products/Services are clearly displayed on merchant’s website
  4. Currency of transaction should be stated on the checkout page – Canadian
  5. Merchant’s contact information and business address included: Business address, City, Country and phone number
  6. Merchant’s location. Visa requires that the merchant location must be disclosed either:
    a. On the same screen view as the checkout screen that presents the final transaction amount; or
    b. Within the sequence of webpages the cardholder accesses during the checkout process
  7. All the above must match Global Payments' records


Step #4

Your Customer Success Specialist will email you to confirm that your details have been received and entered into Buddi. You will receive another email confirmation when payments are officially activated in your online menu.
